As little of a deal as it is, Ainsley amazed me today.
We're wrapping Christmas presents. I was wrapping one in a solid red paper. Ainsley was helping me with the ribbon and she says, "Can we use the green ribbon mom?"
"Sure" I responded. I asked her why she wanted that ribbon.
She brightly responded with "Because if we use the red ribbon it would be hard to see"
:O
I was amazed. Contrasting colors is a pretty advanced concept. For her to realize at 4 that it would be easier to SEE the green ribbon on the red package is amazing.
I expected "because it's pretty", or "because those are christmas colors".
My little smarty pants.
