Enough Already

So, I know you must be tired of reading about my awesome PAX experience but Kenny and I were watching PAX coverage on G4's XPlay and we saw ourselves

Ya, I'm mostly covered up by the post (especially in this clip) portions of me were visible occasionally. Morgan Webb asked us not to look at the camera so we politely kept on playing Resistance.

Geeks and Games

So our PAX experience has come to an end. It was well worth it, it was a blast.

Highlights include seeing/playing not yet released games like Starcraft II, Spore, Rockband II, and WarHammer online. Seeing geek celebrities like Will Wheaton and Felicia Day. And hearing some nerd bands like Jon Coulton, Freeze Pops and The One Ups.

Talks that we made it to, TellTale Games Talk... GuildWars Talk... Spore Talk (probably 3000+ people at the spore talk, it was amazing).

Things we missed... All the board game tournaments, Settlers of Catan, Munchkin and Puerto Rico were ones that we were especially sad we missed. All the Video Game tournaments:P and all the Penny Arcade Talks. The Left 4 Dead booth always had a 2-3 hour line, I really wish I could of seen that game, from what I heard, Valve didn't disappoint.

Things we'll do differently next year: TAKE MORE FRIENDS. Everyone had a herd, except for Kenny and I. We convinced my brother and sister in law to come with us on the last day. But we definitely want to get more people to drive up here with us and party. Plan out talks and tournaments that we attend better. Now that we are aware that every talk involves a line, we can be more prepared to make it to more things. It did feel like this PAX was our intro PAX. There was just so much to take in, it was overwhelming. The sheer amount of people that attended was overwhelming. Every event was packed, every hall and room was used all weekend for all hours of the day. Here's some highlight pictures... I did get some clips of the singers but you could probably google: Jon Coulton PAX 08 concert and get much better samples :) Enjoy
