Movin' on Up

Well, it's that time of year in Gymnastics when the kids move up a level. This year Chloe got asked to be on Team she had her first week on team last week. They had a kick off camp with practice Monday through Thursday from 10am to 4pm and then a lock in slumber party at the Gymnasium.

Somewhere around Tuesday I hear Chloe say, "I LOVE being on team!". Now she's on a regular schedule of 4-7 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Still a lot of work, but she really loves it and she loves her team mates.

Ainsley moved up to Hot Shots, the pre-team class... I don't know if she'll be on team or not. She isn't really a gymnastics personality, she really has a lot of fun though so we'll she what she says next summer.

Chloe's HotShots class ended the year with a mini meet doing level 3 routines. I recorded all of them but they take a lot to upload so I'll just post a few.

Summer Sniffles

Well, these first few busy weeks of summer have been nothing short of miserable for my ear, nose and throat. My tender ear pain I thought was related to my boil thing ended up being the beginning of a cold. I attempt to do the many things on my long list, but these summer sniffles are keeping me going in slow motion. I am somewhat in the midst of painting and preparing my house for a grand BBQ for camp fire next week. At this rate I'll be lucky to have a few hotdogs ready for everyone let alone somewhere to sit and eat them. No matter, I will make every effort to get it all done even if I'm working all night long on the 30th.

Nic's picked up the sniffles from me poor guy is grouchy and irritable. And of course the yellow stream of snot running down to his lip is always a delight to see. Hopefully we'll all get better soon and no one else will catch this bug.

My Wii Rock Band comes in tonight! WOOT can't wait to rock out... oh, wait... I'm feeling sick... blah! Maybe I can drum a bit :( so sad.
