Chloe had her first gymnastics exhibiton last night infront of the crowd between the 2nd and 3rd inning at the Tri-City Dust Devils vs Eugene Emeralds game. She was so excited to be a part of the "team". She sat with her teacher untill the show. If you looked up teachers pet in the dictionary you'd see a picture of my daughter sitting next to her instructor. Grandpa Ken and Grandma Lori and Cierra came to see too. It was frickin 108 degrees out, I don't think it ever really cooled off any.
There was about 15 little kids doing thier forward rolls or cartwheels and by the time it was chloes turn she was able to do just a few little carwheels before they pulled her off the field. She didn't know her time was short and she still had a blast. She really enjoys gymnastics, I'm glad I got her involved early.
We almost NEVER go to professional teamsports so we stuck out the heat to watch the rest of the game. The game was great. It was family night, with Dust Devils hat for the first 500 fans and $1.00 hot dogs, sodas and ice creams. The kids were having a blast stomping their feet, singing songs and eating hot dogs and ice cream. The girls got their hats signed by Dusty the team mascot. Little Nicky spent the evening yelling, with his arms over his head, "hit the ball!" he was a crowd pleaser to say the least. The team won 8-2, hooray Dust Devils!
