GuildWars Bug Slowing Me Down

The week got off to a rough start, poor weather and post holiday exhaustion was no motivation for building heavy brick walls. And even though the temperature has gone up a few degrees along with it came the wind. (Which, when your back yard is mostly dry sand, is impossible to work in) So I've been logging in to GuildWars to catch up. My characters have been neglected for almost a month. I got an all impressive skill hunter title for my Mesmer character and my Necromancer is almost through Nightfall (the third expansion for GuildWars). So playing wasn't a complete waste, I did accomplish some stuff I've been trying to do for a long time. But alas I find it has become difficult to get my butt in gear. I'm checking my email several times every few hours again and wanting really bad to play through a few quests.

Well, even though I was slowed down much, I did make it out several times today and I finished the base of the walls surrounding the fire pit area. The base is the hardest, most time consuming part, so I'm glad I finished it before the weekend. Now I can spend the next two days building the walls up! Maybe I'll be finished with the majority of the projects by next Sunday. That would feel good. Here's to good weather!

Holiday Hangover

I didn't work on the yard this weekend, but I'm exhausted. I ran my errands a day early since I knew there wouldn't be time for them on Sunday. Shopping is so tiring. I usually do it last thing on Sunday to avoid being tired the rest of the weekend. But I started my weekend off with it this time. When I got back I focused on the 4 scariest rooms in the house. The kids rooms and their bathroom which has been neglected since last year sometime. I convinced the kids that the Easter Bunny would pass us over if their rooms were messy. With a lot of prodding they finished the task and their rooms are pretty clean. I scrubbed the bathroom up pretty good and now the upstairs doesn't smell like a locker room anymore. Anyway, the cleaning aparantly worked because the Easter Bunny came to our house. Chloe let me know by saying, "You were right Mom! We cleaned our rooms and the Easter Bunny left us stuff."

We invited my Mom and Sister and Brother-In-Law and Kennys family over for Supper on Sunday so I spent all of Saturday Night and Sunday morning cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning. I cleaned the LAN bar off and the oven out, you know suff I would normally dismiss as normal mess. With the last month being dedicated to outdoor work the house really needed a holiday to get me to clean it up finally.

Well, the kids had a great time, as you can see. We had lots of fun visiting with family. The grown-ups played Wizard and the kids watched some movies for a bit. And, of course, ate too much food and candy! It was a nice Easter.

Chloe is ready to go back to school today, she missed all her friends over the break. She lost another tooth last night and she's really excited to share the report with her class.

I'm a little groggy from all the activities over the holiday but I'd like to get back to building some walls. The wind, however, is relentless. It figures, it was nice all weekend.
