Candy Sales Will Be Good Next Year

So our camp fire club entered two pictures into a national competition. The winners will appear on boxes of camp fire candy for the next few years. This picture of my niece (this was taken at our arbor day event) was chosen. Congratulations to Cierra for having her picture chosen and congratulations to Nate Tenney- he took the great picture. We're all very happy and excited about the news! Candy sales should be good for us next year!

Good to be Home

I got home yesterday. Kenny and the kids came to pick me up at the airport. I was so happy I got a little teared up, I did miss everyone so much!

It's hot here but not 112 degrees so it's good to just cool down a bit. My brain was stuffed so full over the weekend that it's hard to turn it off at night. My head is just reeling with information, not to mention some very early mornings and a long trip home, I'm exhausted.

I was supposed to take the day off, relax and just hang with the kids. I'm just too excited about the classes I'm going to be teaching, I already have 3 families interested and I've set the date and time for the first round. It's happening so fast. I ended up going to show Fran (my support Midwife) all my cool new stuff and she helped me make flyers and brochures for the program. I spent almost all day at her clinic. Then we came home and got the dog and went to Kenny's softball game. The first inning went so well we thought they were a sure win this time... but, alas in the last inning of the game the other teams alcohol kicked in and they became super players and kicked the infrared soxs butts.

Lori called me about some camp fire stuff I asked if she'd be a guinea pig for me and sit around and let me help her relax a bit. She seemed happy to let me practice on her. If any of my friends out there care to drift off into a narrated dream land let me know I need some practice before the 19th!
