Probably for the last 6 months or so, with the exception of a few single player games, Kenny has been waning in the video game play time. His time after work is usually spent doing homework or watching TV anymore, Hero's especially.
I bring up the fact that he doesn't play video games with me anymore, more and more. It makes me sad :( I really hate watching him work on his laptop even if he is in the same room. He's occupied and off limits, I also feel like I'm missing out on something that he's doing whether it's homework that is above my head or wasting time on slashdot. He's not really with me when the laptop comes out. So, I nagged him a bit about playing video games last night and he was annoyed. Hey he's a pretty lucky guy, how many wives out there actually want their husbands to play video games instead of watch boring TV.
I'm not saying I don't get angry when I'm cleaning and he's got his face in front of the lap top (even if it is really important homework). Because every once in awhile his "work" seems to turn into surfing the internet while I'm doing the dishes, laundry and making everyone lunches and I notice and start seething. I usually hold back on the nagging about helping around the house, I know his school work is important and his job is sometimes stressful. But if I'm feeling lonely and want to play video games with him I don't hold the nag back... too bad it's the same as nagging about housework. It doesn't accomplish anything!
Luckily there is a writers strike and all our favorite shows (with the exception of BBC stuff) are affected. So perhaps the video game time might go up. Maybe I'll actually finish GWEN one of these days.
