I've been planning on making a bunch of "sew easy" shorts this summer for the kids play clothes. So today I went out and purchased several yards of $1/$2 fabric and 2 patterns one for shorts/shirt and one for jammies. It was about $40 for enough material/sewing supplies for 10 or so outfits for each of the girls. Thats pretty good I usually spend twice that much on 10 outfits for one girl. Now I just have to sew the things up... It shouldn't be too difficult though, they're really basic elastic banded shorts and pajama bottoms and simple little tank tops. The kids had fun helping me buy the material, we even found a butterfly print one for Ainsley.
We also went to Maya Angelou and filed Chloe's enrollment papers. Chloe met her principle Mr. Fulfs. We get to go to an open house for her school at the end of the month. She's so excited, she talks about it all the time. Ainsley is a bit jealous. Everytime Chloe says something like "my school" or "my school bus", Ainsley pipes up with "I get to go too!"

School Enrollment
I made it down to the elementary school today with all 4 kids in tow (my 3 plus Max). We're in the bussing district for Maya Angelou elementary school and I don't feel like driving the kids so that's where Chloe will go next year. (one kid down and two to go) They gave me an enrollment package and asked me to fill it out and bring it back so thats what I'm doing. I've waited to get her enrolled because I didn't have a birth certificate, now that I'm filling out the paperwork I see that her baptism certificate would've worked as age verification. Wish I knew that before i ordered the $18 copy... Eh well, I guess we needed to get one for her anyway.

Wisdom Teeth
You're so blessed, I'm posting twice today!
Yes, I just got back from the oral surgeon and the trip merits a post. Everything went as I expected, they took a panoramic x-ray and got my health history and explained to me the procedure, risks and care I'll need following the operation. It was all straight forward and pretty general.
I went to go set up an appointment and figure out what my co-pay will be at the time of the surgery. The surgery to have all 4 wisdom teeth extracted will cost $2033.00! ! ! My maximum allowable benifits for the current year is 1500.00 and I've used 615.25 of that. They will pay 884.75 which means I owe 1148.25 at the time of the appointment. :P Blech!!!! Luckily the appointment is 2 months away so I can pad my checking a bit before then but still. Ouch!

No, I Don't Think This Weeked Was Too Busy...
Well, it's over. What an exhausting weekend. And little was accomplished. But we had lots of fun.
I guess it actually started on Friday night, that's when I started to clean the house. Don was over for his personal tutor session for his programming class and Guild Wars Factions was live and beconing me. You'd be proud though, I avoided the game for the entire night.
I cleaned the house till 3:00 am Saturday... woke up a few hours later to make food and ship the kids off. 9:00am Guests started to arrive and set up their systems. And then we had a great LAN party. Factions has so much content, it was a bit overwhelming how much content we could go to so early in the release. So much to see and do. When the next campaigns come out the game is going to just be huge... We had 12 players here, I think everyone had a good time.
Sunday, I went out and collected stuff for the yard work we're starting this week. Rebar, Gloves, a Mallett, and String Levels. I forgot face masks, I'll have to pick those up today. Ken and I took some measurements to see how much dirt we had and how much we had to move. We'll have excess dirt if we raise the lower level 4 feet from the base of the fence, I was worried that we wouldn't have enough to raise it as high as I wanted to, so there's no need to worry now. It'll be nice to get that project finished. I'm thinking about making a rounded porch area up on the upper level bowing the upper wall out about 10 feet, and putting steps down to the lower level. We also got some yard work done, mowed the lawn and fixed sprinklers. I sprayed off the front of the house and the porch and repared some kid damage in the garden.
