The Icky Yucks

LAST Tuesday, Nic had a little fever and a headache. Cute things came out of his mouth like, "My brain is growing", "It's getting real big" and my favorite, "I need some medicine so I don't xplode". He seemed to get better... for a day and then got worse as the weekend came near. On Thursday Ainsley was sent home from school with a fever. She's been down ever since. Even today, almost a week later she is out on the couch looking tired and sore. The bad thing about these icky yucks is there is not much of a symptoms list. Mostly body aches and sleepiness. There is a bit of a sinus thing going on but it's not bad, and a sinus drain that causes a little cough. But the achy body will do you in.

I've got it too. It lives in my back... it's not very happy right now and is yelling at me to go to bed. I think Ainsley has to stay home AGAIN. She just is so lethargic right now that I can't imagine her making her way through the day. She'll perk up a little every now and then only to crash for two or three hours. I sent Kenny back to work today. I don't know how long this is going to last, hopefully not as long as it's held on to the kids. You know, our family really hardly ever gets sick. But this winter seems to have had us wrapped around it's finger, and when we do get sick, we really get sick.
