My baby sister Kayla arrived at my door unexpectedly on Wednesday night. She's staying with us for a while with her new baby Camden. I knew she was coming into town, but my mom's house turned out to be too dog hairy for them to stay there so she ended up here. Anyway, I was a bit thrown off by the surprise and now I'm not ready for the Camp Fire meeting tonight.
Earth Day is this month so we're doing our focus on environmental conservation things. I had no idea what to do until last night when I figured I'd buy some blank reusable shopping bags and let the kids decorate them. I went the store an blank reusable shopping bags were 15.00 a piece. With 11 kids, that idea went out the window. So here I am sewing up some cloth grocery bags for the kids. I can't blog long because I have to sew 11 of them up. I'm barely through cutting the pieces out.
* I was too overwhelmed... I canceled the meeting, maybe I'll have bags made by the next one :)
Anyway the grass is good. I've planted some trees and strawberries this week and cleaned a lot (mostly because of the unexpected visitor).
Time for more bags.

The Sod is Done

THANK YOU: Adam, Rachel and Christopher, Lori, Edna, Daniel, Nathan, Ammon and Ezri, Grandma Tina and Grandma Lori. It was a hot, dirty day, thank you so much for helping us finish this part of the yard. If you weren't here it would of surely cooked in the driveway. Anyway here are pictures... After the grass settles and gets rooted I'll clean it up really good for more pics. I've got to get a fence around the garden area soon too, so I'm sure I'll post pics of that. Anyway, I'm pooped now... glad its raining so I don't have to feel bad about not going outside. Going to go take a nap!
