The kids had a great time this year. I usually spend the whole month of October on Halloween costumes, but this year I only spent a few hours the night before putting costumes together. Something about not having any free time this fall really impacted my costume building time. Luckily the kids asked for pretty simple to make costumes this year. Ainsley was 4 arms from Ben 10. That required the altering of a sweat shirt with a bit of felt and some hot glue and adding some additional arms to the sides. Nic was a goomba from the Super Paper Mario, specifically the one with the pith helmet. Another easy sweat shirt mod with felt and hot glue. His helmet is actually a Halloween candy cauldron with an aluminum foil doinky glued to the top. Piece of cake! Chloe, thankfully, agreed to be nice to mom this year and went as a pretty witch. A dress up dress and a hat from Walmart was all that was required.
Who says hours of work need to be put into cute Halloween costumes.
I am a 29 year old wife and mother of 3. I'm back at school on track to becoming a software designer. Between that and gymnastics for the girls 3 nights a week there's not much time for activities to unwind like playing games with my family or going out with my husband.
