Sleep Gamer?

Well, there is a pretty solid no games/tv until after dinner rule in the house now. It helps keep arguments down and it's nice to actually hear kids playing together. We're going to try implementing a star system like the girls had in school this year. Every time they do things good, without being asked they get stars and if there are issues stars can be taken away etc. If they earn 7 stars in a week they can play games before dinner on Saturday, and yes that means when they wake up :)

We noticed the Wii was on this morning when Ken and I came downstairs at 7. It made us wonder where Nic was hiding. He had to of been there this morning playing games and then when he heard us, he ran and hid. mmm, Nic was not downstairs. So we checked the wii record and Super Mario Galexy had been on for 6.5 hours... and Paper Mario was on for a few hours before that. Nic waited till we were asleep and then came downstairs and played Wii for a few hours last night. Sneaky little turd!

So, now I get the unpleasant task of making sure Nic is ran hard during the day so that he is absolutely exhausted at night. This means keeping Mr. Cranky pants up through all naps and physically playing with him for at least a few hours before the kids get home. No, he wasn't punished more than a stern discussion. It's pretty pointless to punish a 4 yr old 6 hours after the act. But he was awful unhappy with being woke up this morning. We just have to make sure he's asleep at night. I'm thinking of getting a little door jam alarm... that'll do the trick :)

Oh my gosh, that kid cracks me up!! Don't the Wii's have parental password locks or something along those lines? I have no idea, but it sounds good. :-) He's going to be begging to come to our house all the time now...I'll have to institute no games while he's here, too. :-)
